Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Your Audio Guestbook Account

Liz Colon··3 min read

Quick Answer

Happy Hear Audio has a connector for Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP-capable assistants, included on every plan. Seven actions read (events, audio status, gallery link and stats, plan and usage) and three change something (start Clean All, create an event, change a name or date). It cannot delete, upload or see guest audio.

The Happy Hear Audio AI connector is a remote MCP server that links your audio guestbook account to Claude, ChatGPT or any assistant that supports connectors, so you can ask about your events in plain words. It is included on every plan, it reads only event names, dates, status and message counts, and it never sees guest audio.

If you already use Claude or ChatGPT, you can link it to your account and ask things like which events still have messages cleaning. This post covers what it does, what it does not, and how to turn it on.

What problem does it solve?

On a busy weekend you check the same few things again and again: did the messages from Saturday finish cleaning, is the Sunday event set up, did the date change. Each check means logging in, finding the event and reading the counts. The connector lets your assistant answer those questions from your account instead.

What can it do?

There are ten actions. Seven only read, and three change something.

The seven that read:

  • Search your events by name, date or status.
  • Check one event, message by message: which are ready, cleaning or need attention.
  • Check audio status on an event: counts by state, plus each message's state.
  • List events that need a look: failed, too short, too large, unsupported, or still cleaning after 30 minutes.
  • Get the gallery link for an event (never the share code).
  • Get gallery stats: visitors, plays, downloads and the date it was first opened.
  • Get your plan and usage: plan, status, paid-through date, whether the free event is used, and your event count.

The three that change something:

  • Start Clean All on an event, the same as the button on the event page.
  • Create an event with a name and a date.
  • Change an event's name or date.

The three that change something have a daily limit per account, the same on every plan: 30 cleaning requests, 10 new events and 50 edits in any 24 hours. Past that, nothing changes and the assistant tells you to use the dashboard or try again tomorrow. The actions reference lists each one with an example.

What can it not do?

  • It cannot delete anything or upload audio.
  • It cannot change branding, player style, call-in settings or sharing.
  • It cannot pay for an event. A new event that needs payment is created locked, and you pay in the dashboard.
  • It cannot email a gallery to your client.
  • It never sees guest audio, transcripts, phone numbers, guest names or gallery passwords. It sees event names, dates, status, gallery links and message counts.

Who gets it, and what does it cost?

Every plan, including your free first event, at no extra charge. You can disconnect at any time from your assistant's Connectors page.

How do I turn it on?

Setup takes about two minutes. In Claude:

  1. Open Customize, then Connectors, and click Add custom connector.
  2. Paste the Happy Hear Audio connector URL from the setup guide.
  3. Click Add, then Connect. Claude sends you to Happy Hear Audio.
  4. Sign in with your usual Happy Hear Audio login.
  5. Read the permission screen and click Allow.

In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Connectors, choose Create, paste the same URL, pick OAuth for authentication and leave the client ID and secret blank. The setup guide has the exact clicks for both, and the menus move, so check it if a button is missing. It also works with other assistants that support remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in. New to Happy Hear Audio? Your first event is free.
